Community Involvement
The Wisconsin & Southern Railroad Co. (WSOR) believes in partnerships by providing top-notch freight rail service and being involved in our communities. At WSOR, we believe our success depends on more than our ability to understand our business and customers. We must also appreciate the issues that matter to the communities in which we live and do business - issues such as safety, quality of life and the environment. At WSOR, we want to help make our communities better places to live and work.
The WSOR recognizes that every community is unique and because of that, WSOR offers various opportunities to address the needs and solutions of its communities while at the same time extending a special message from the railroad community.
The WSOR has identified three primary concentration areas where we are confident that our expertise and support can help to make a difference in our communities. Those areas are:
Community Safety
Safety is and remains a top priority for the WSOR. We recognize that safety is an obligation to our employees, customers, and to members of the public. As a result, we make training and education on proper safety procedures and methodology a primary focus when presenting the safety message to our communities.
Community Initiative
The WSOR is very proud of its commitment to assisting community-based organizations in

meeting their social and economic needs. Communities where we operate and where our employees live and work are important to the WSOR.
Transportation Awareness
The WSOR is committed to spreading awareness and education about freight railroad transportation in general. The WSOR and other freight railroad companies are all part of a national and international railroad system that moves freight across the country and across country borders. Having a stable rail infrastructure system results in a healthy economy that everyone can benefit from.
