The Wisconsin & Southern Railroad serves Jefferson County directly from its Janesville, WI terminal. Janesville is one of three main terminals on the WSOR system that the railroad operates. The other two are located in Madison, and Horicon. The rail line comes into Jefferson County three different ways: From the west, the line comes from Madison. From the east, the line comes from Waukesha. From the south, the line comes in from Janesville. Jefferson County is located in southeastern Wisconsin, between Madison and Milwaukee. |
