WSOR Service Plan (revised December 2007)

Each WSOR freight train job uses different abbreviations depending on where and when a train runs. Wisconsin & Southern developed this system to help trainmen and dispatchers distinguish different trains and to determine where and when each train runs.

The letters generally stand for the initial and final destination of a train, plus its designation. UP ballast trains are operated with two or three crews off the extra board as needed.
