WSOR President Bill Gardner Recognizes Horicon Employees for Injury-Free Record

Horicon, WI – WSOR President & CEO William Gardner recognized over 25 employees for their continued commitment to working safely. For two years, employees of the Locomotive Department, based out of Horicon, WI, worked “injury-free”. Also recognized were employees of the Paint Shop who worked a record five years without an injury. “Employees of Horicon’s Locomotive and Paint Shop Departments have elevated their commitment to safety and I thank each one of them for their tremendous accomplishments,” stated William Gardner. “This commitment is a remarkable step towards safe working environments for our employees and our customers,” he added. To reflect their accomplishments, Mr. Gardner presented each employee with a gift certificate and subsequently sponsored a luncheon for the two departments.

Department Backgrounds: WSOR’s Locomotive Department offers locomotive repair services nationwide including, initial testing and setup of new units, on-going repairs, and change-out/replacement of key components that make locomotives run efficiently and optimally. The department also complies with all locomotive testing and inspection requirements as required by the Federal Railroad Administration, including major repairs and total engine replacement as appropriate. WSOR’s state-of-the-art Paint Shop offers painting and refinishing services including reconditioning of locomotive cabs, engine compartments, and car bodies, along with refinishing all types of freight cars.
